New Office Building at Moreton : 2021

Client : Shoreline Surveys Ltd; Design : rbstudio architects, (Poole); Structural Engineer : julia sanders (Poole)

Steel framed, highly insulated 2 storey construction with face brickwork to ground floor, Serbian Larch cladding to first floor. Overhanging balcony enclosed to south end. Profiled metal roofing with aluminium windows and doors. Double garage, staff kitchen & shower/toilet on ground floor. Open plan office on first floor with balcony and with mezzanine level over.

Construction Sequence :

Steel frame erection by our local steelwork sub contractor Scard & McCarthy

Power floated insulated concrete floor slab (in house).

Internal finishes

Internal stairs and screens in American White Ash purpose made by Portland Joinery.

Aluminium frames / glazing by First Fit Ltd of Weymouth

External Cladding : Vertical Serbian Larch battens on a black membrane. It weathers down to a pleasing and maintenance free finish. There were a lot of them to fix !

The external balcony has a toughened clear glass screen which does not detract from the dramatic design.
